Evi Guggenheim Shbeta was born in Switzerland, immigrated to Israel at the age of 19, is married and the mother of three. She lives and works in Neve Shalom/Wahat al Salam (http://www.nswas.org/ ) a peace village where Jews and Palestinians live and work together in peace education while sharing land, administration and power.
Evi Guggenheim Shbeta is an expert Mental Health Social Worker, certified by the Israeli Association of Social Workers; Group Analyst, trained and certified by the Israeli Association for Group Analysis and "Internationale Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Gruppenanalyse"; a Couple and Family Therapist and Supervisor, certified by the Israeli Association for Couple and Family Therapy, a Trauma Therapist and a Group moderator for Groups in Conflict, certified by the School for Peace, Neve Shalom/Wahat al Salam.
For many years she was a faculty member at Bar Ilan University for training Couple and Family Therapists and at the Center for Couple and Family Therapy, Beth Shemesh, where she also was a Board Member.
For 30 years she worked in the Jerusalem Mental Health Center Eitanim- Kfar Shaul as a Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist for Individuals, Groups and Families. There she held various positions, among them Head Social Worker, Manager of the Rehabilitation Center and Deputy Manager of the Community Mental Health Center, Beth Shemesh.
For almost ten years she held the position of Clinical Director for “AMCHA” Rehovot the National Israeli Center for Psychological Support of Holocaust survivors, the Second Generation and others (http://amcha.org/indexEn.htm)
Today she works in private practice.
